Stop It

Well, here we are. Concentration Camps in Texas for innocent kids that have been kidnapped from their parents by the American government.

Congratulations Republicans, you did it. You did this. Fox News helped you, Russia helped you, but ultimately, you did this. Your fearmongering, race-baiting, sick and twisted narrative, did this.

I've always wondered how pro-gun and pro-life go together. Turns out, they don't. You're pretend Christians. You have one god, money. That's why you let Trump do what he does.

That and I'm sure that the RNC data hack has something to do with your obediance to this shithead of a man. But, that's another story.

Here we have ignorant Americans calling asylum seekers, "Criminal Invaders". They are calling children, "Baby Criminals". They have disassociated and don't even see these poor people as human. That's what the Trump administration wanted and with Fox as the mouthpiece to these stupid guntoting racists, that's what they got.

Yes, they are stupid. Rural, uncultured, xenophobic, stupid, racists. Largely uneducated, largely male, largely white. The white women that voted for Trump are subservient to their husbands or whatever man controls them. This isn't make believe, I've seen with my own eyes how these women act. They have no sense of self. They do what their man wants them to. It's gross.

They call us the "Liberal Elite" or the "Coastal Elite". You know what? We are elite. We are elite because we see you. We see that you are close minded, frightened, evil people that hide behind the veil of religion. You don't believe in God. You believe in control. That's all you want.

You like Trump because he speaks to that darkness inside of you that says, "Yes, control them, get them out, make it white here, do it." It's really just disgusting.

What if we wanted to round all of you up and ship you off somewhere? You're the problem. Not us. I was brought up to believe that all people are the same. No one is better than anyone else. Mother's all over the world love their kids as much as we love ours but you can't see that. You lack empathy and compassion. You are the people that preach Jesus while rejecting His teachings. You use his name in vain every time you open your mouths and you will be judged.

The thing here is that we have freedom in the United States. Donald Trump instituted this policy to separate children from their parents. It's not a law. He's using children as leverage to get his wall. Fox News is spreading propaganda so that you stay afraid because as long as you're afraid, they win.

What are you afraid of? Brown people? Children? People seeking refuge?

You think they're taking your jobs? Many of the jobs they take are ones you don't want. Do you think they're coming here and pulling in six figures? They're not and you're likely not.

Many of the people trying to come here are harmless but Fox News amplifies the lie that they are in gangs or that they are drug dealers or rapists. It's awful.

I will say this, Mexico and other South American countries need to get their shit together. Perhaps the United States could help them get their shit together so that the citizens of those countries would actually want to live there. It's called being proactive and it's not something that humans are good at.

Do I sound angry? I am. I'm furious. These children deserve a chance. If their home country isn't giving them one, then we need to help their home country to stop sucking. If they need refuge, we need to let them try to get it. Obviously an oversimplification, but you get my point.

Why aren't we helping? Ohhhh that's RIGHT!!!! Drugs! I forgot all about that shadow government behind the Mexican government that pushes the drug trade. OH! And Panama and the money laundering! Right!

The world is fucking broken. If America is considered a place of refuge and we can help people, we should. It's not Christian to turn people away. There are ways to make it work. You just need people with the right ideas.

Puerto Rico needs to be rebuilt, give these refugees a home there, give them jobs rebuilding the island. What about Hawaii? I think they need help after the volcano. Give them jobs there. Why not? What's there to lose? They need refuge, Puerto Rico needs help. Fill the void. Keep families together.

Stop being evil.

Lies

There is nothing I despise more than a lie. Lies, when repeated often enough, can be believed by the person that fabricated them. Never before in our country have we had a president that lies so constantly, with a base that believes him so completely that has a news station to amplify him. It is horrendous, it is dangerous. We need to mobilize, we need to stop this. If not now, when? If not us, who? These children can't speak for themselves. They're minors. Some younger than my three year old. It pains me to think of either of my children in captivity, away from me, with no clear path back to me. How can they do this? How can any government do this? I think of their little faces, their eyes, already filled with fear of being in a new place, feeling solace only from the embrace of their parents and then the mean men take them away and put them in cages. This is traumatic. A senator, I think, Steve King, said that Abortion is the true final separator of child from mot...

The Monday Post Vacation...

...has got to be one of the worst damn days EVER!!! Now that that is out of my system I have to say, there is something beautiful about being in the White Mountains with no service on my cell. No reason to check Twitter, no exposure to the rantings of a lunatic. It's nice. It's pleasant. Now I'm back to the connected world and I don't know that I like it all that much. I looked up actions and quotes from guilty people and it's so strange to see that Trump's behaviors and tweets match to a T. He's so guilty that he's trying everything to stay to afloat and it's just scary. I see my kids do it. I ask my son, "Did you draw on the wall with sharpie?" He goes, "No, it was my sister." I ask him, "Are you sure you didn't draw on the wall?" He says, "No, I said it was my sister!" Then he throws the Sharpie and proceeds to have a tantrum...he's three. Trump is doing all the same things, and more, that ...

Long December

It's weird but I feel like November has been December for three weeks. I don't know why but my body keeps telling me that it's December and it has been. In fact, Thanksgiving feels like it happened weeks ago rather than just one week ago. Maybe it's the fact that I have little kids and they are getting ready for Christmas and are filled with excitement over the prospect of Santa Claus and presents. Or maybe it's because Thanksgiving came a little earlier than usual this year. Whatever it is, it's a weird feeling. The last time something like this happened to me was in October of 2014. After the month ended, I felt like it was still October until well into February of the following year. It truly makes no sense considering time is an invented human concept. Most of our ancient ancestors and nearly all of our animal friends don't give a hoot about time down to the second. Months aren't even real, it's just a thing we do. It feels like it's be...
